Optimizing Funding to Implement RTI and Align with Student Achievement

An interactive Response to Intervention (RTI) funding session designed to provide K-12 administrators hands on strategies and tools to optimally allocate their funding.

Participants will:

  • Learn strategies and gain tools to conduct a funding optimization audit
    • Creating an audit plan
    • Addressing key evaluation questions
    • Evaluating with Needs Rubrics
    • Gathering and analyzing the data
  • Learn how to utilize current stimulus funds to propel RTI initiatives forward.
  • Review (or Consider) what additional funds are available for RTI initiatives through Title & IDEA Funds
  • Learn how EXCEED/RTI is providing districts with the data and components necessary to support program analysis and improve student achievement

About Dr. Christy Chambers
Dr. Christy Chambers has been a Special Education Director/Superintendent of three Illinois special education joint agreements of multiple school districts over the past 19 years. From 2002-June 2008, Dr. Chambers served as the Superintendent of the Special Education District of McHenry County, a large, growing joint agreement in Northern Illinois serving 18 school districts. Having just completed her 2-year term as the national President of the Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE) on June 30th, Christy continues to serve on the CASE Executive Board as Immediate Past President.
