TOWSON, Md. - December 6, 2010 — Spectrum K12 School Solutions Inc., a leading provider of Response to Intervention (RTI), student achievement management and instructional improvement solutions for K-12 school districts, today announced that its EXCEED® software has been selected as a District Administration Readers Choice Top 100 Product of 2010.

The prestigious acknowledgement is given annually to hardware, software, books and materials, web sites, and/or facilities products that have made a positive difference in education during the year. The 2010 winners were selected from hundreds of nominations submitted by the readers of District Administration, including school superintendents and district-level directors in virtually every school district in the United States. The winning products were determined by the quantity of nominations received per product, as well as evaluating the quality of the products based upon readers’ nominations and explanations.

Spectrum K12’s EXCEED is a suite of solutions that manages, administers and prescribes the personalized learning process and data required for all students in general, compensatory, gifted or special education; from pre-K through graduation and beyond. All of its products are built on the EXCEED Student Achievement Manager Platform and operate as a single cohesive application that seamlessly automates referrals between RTI and special programs.

EXCEED was created out of Spectrum K12’s vast experience helping school districts manage the most complex personalized learning plans and best practices expertise in enterprise business process and data management software. According to Jim Marshall, president of Spectrum K12, “Our goal with EXCEED is to deliver an instructional improvement solution that provides teachers, principals and administrators with meaningful support and actionable data to help all students achieve success. To have EXCEED recognized and recommended by our customers is incredible affirmation that Spectrum K12 is delivering what school districts need.”

District Administration Readers’ Choice Top 100 provides senior district leadership with the unique opportunity to learn what their colleagues around the country are using, and how these products contribute to the success of their districts. According to the publication, there were a record number of nominations this year.

“These product recommendations included extensive descriptions from school administrators of how these products are used in their districts, making it very challenging to choose the top 100 products. We hope these products, and their accompanying testimonials, will act as a valuable resource for our readers,” says District Administration’s Editor in Chief, Judy Faust Hartnett.
