TOWSON, Md. — Jan. 21, 2005 — Spectrum K12 School Solutions has been named a finalist for the 2005 Codie Awards as “Best Business Administration System.” Established by the Software & Information Industry Association, the Codie Awards are among the most prestigious in the software industry, showcasing the finest software and digital content products and services across a wide variety of categories. Award winners will be announced Sat., May 28 at the 20th Annual Codie Awards Gala in Universal City, Calif.

4GL earned finalist consideration for its Web-based ENCORE!® suite of products, a complete enterprise solution that manages special education workflow and compliance functions. By automating and streamlining data collection and management, ENCORE! lifts the burden of paperwork from special education professionals and helps districts increase the effectiveness of their special education programs, decrease expenses, and increase revenue reimbursement.

“4GL is honored to be a finalist for such a prestigious award,” said Allison L. Duquette, president and CEO of Spectrum K12 School Solutions. “It recognizes our commitment to provide the most sophisticated and comprehensive special education data management system on the market today.”

The Codies distinction comes on the heels of last fall’s announcement that 4GL Schools had been named one of three finalists in the 12th annual EdNET Awards. Sponsored by education industry watchdog The Heller Reports, a QED company, the EdNET HERO award recognizes organizations that have had the most significant impact on education through educational technology and telecommunications.

As the only peer-recognition competition in the software and information industry, the Codie Awards program provides a unique opportunity for companies to earn the praise of their peers.
