Towson, Md. – Aug. 16, 2006 – Spectrum K12 School Solutions Inc., the leading provider of comprehensive management solutions for special populations in K-12 education, has been named one of three finalists for the EdNET Pioneer Award. Part of the prestigious EdNET Industry Awards, the EdNET Pioneer Award is given to the organization that has most significantly contributed to the growth of the education market over the previous year.
This marks the third consecutive year Spectrum K12 (formerly 4GL School Solutions Inc.) has been named a finalist in the EdNET Industry Awards program. This year, Spectrum K12 earned finalist consideration for its leadership role in driving innovation in education. In 2006, Spectrum K12 introduced State Editions of its award-winning ENCORE!® suite of products to meet the unique needs of students and school districts. Designed specifically for K12 education, ENCORE! is a web-based software solution that serves as a foundation for managing all phases of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process for special populations. In addition, Spectrum K12 further expanded industry offerings by introducing Professional Development training courses to meet the needs of all K-12 educators and administrators involved in the development and facilitation of IEPs.
“Since 1996, innovation and expansion of Spectrum K12’s products and services have fueled its rise to market-leading provider of special population solutions for school districts of all sizes,” said Allison Duquette, president and CEO of Spectrum K12 School Solutions. “Today Spectrum K12 helps districts more effectively manage the individualized learning process for all students receiving special services or interventions. To be honored by the EdNET Industry Awards three years in row is a testament to the vital roles cutting-edge technologies and innovation play in helping districts positively impact learning for all students.”
