Spectrum K12 School Solutions Names Carmi Paris Vice President of Corporate Development

TOWSON, MD– July 10, 2007 – Spectrum K12 School Solutions Inc. today announced that it has named Carmi Paris Vice President of Corporate Development. She brings to the company and its customers more than a decade of leadership in education technology. At Spectrum K12, Paris will expand collaborative partnerships and strategic alignments with corporations and other organizations committed to educational excellence for all students.

Paris began her career as a science teacher and high school track coach. With the advent of classroom technology, Paris pioneered curriculum development for at-risk youth, creating a web-based program called “I AM, WE ARE” (IAWA) that helped students develop goals and objectives to celebrate their ethnicity and cultural diversity. This drew Paris towards her current work in educational technology and in developing and educating the whole child, one who is engaged, healthy and academically challenged. Before joining Spectrum K12, Paris spent the past decade working with Riverdeep and then SchoolNet as national director of business development for both companies.
