Towson, MD., 09/25/2007 - Spectrum K12 School Solutions Inc, provider of the patented, special education and IEP management Encore® software, today announced they have teamed up with nationally recognized education and technology experts to host a dynamic new webinar series. The series is designed to bring lessons learned and real-world best practices to school administrators, teachers, and IT professionals.

"Successful Grant Writing" will kick off the Webinar Series on October 3rd, 2007 at 3:00 PM EST. Presented by expert Dr. Douglas Brooks, tenured full professor within the Department of Teacher Education at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, this webinar will provide an overview of best practices in how to more effectively respond to grant proposals and greatly increase the probability of creating successful grant applications. This webinar will introduce novice and experienced grant writers to a proven, innovative, team-based 4 stage/32 step model for creating successful grant applications. Dr. Brooks has written over $8.5 million in successful technology integration grants for schools across the nation.

The second webinar in the series, “A Special Educator’s Guide to NCLB and State Standards” presented by Cindy Atlas, M Ed Education Solutions Strategist, Spectrum K12 School Solutions will be held on October 16, 2007. This webinar highlights the key role NCLB plays in educating at-risk and special education students today. Educational leaders will take away practical tips for utilizing state standards & high stakes testing data as a guide for instructional change to achieve student success.

“Standards Based Goals, Objectives and Benchmarks,” the third webinar in the series will be hosted by Ginger Sewell, November 28, 2007. Sewell is a Facilitated Individual Education Plan (IEP) trainer with extensive experience in building strong teams while minimizing conflict reduction in special education.
