RTI Needs Analysis

Our Needs Analysis audits have helped school districts around the country define and incorporate “best practices” at every level of their special education and RTI processes.

In addition to defining the district’s current policies and procedures, a Needs Analysis can uncover hidden factors affecting the district’s performance. These factors might include disincentives, environmental barriers and reasons district employees adhere to an “old” system regardless of new and better options. The Needs Analysis identifies the steps necessary for a district to overcome these obstacles and to improve its special education program.

There are four key areas of focus:

  • Data Management
  •
  • Process Management
  •
  • Standards Driven Decision Making
  •
  • Revenue Recovery

We gather and review pertinent district information by conducting face-to-face interviews and audits. After further analysis, we provide a detailed report outlining key areas of focus that can enhance the performance of a district’s special education program. Each core area organizes the information into Key Findings, Common Challenges, Recommendations and Returns on Investment. All recommendations are based upon the best practices Spectrum K12 has developed by working with more than 280 school districts nationwide.
