FIEP Coaching-- (1 day)
These are follow-up up workshops with LEA participants to address issues and challenges experienced during of implementation of the FIEP model. Discussions and recommendations by consultants and participants will comprise much of the day. Additionally, a sharing of successfully employed strategies will take place to expand participants’ toolbox of skills, culminating with the development of a district/individual plan of action.

FIEP Overview-- (1 day)
The overview of FIEP is provided to district staff where FIEP training has already taken place. It will give a general understanding of the FIEP components to those likely to participate in IEP meetings. It does not certify participants to facilitate IEP meetings, but will prepare them to take a more active role in the process. When participating in IEPs run by a trained facilitator, participants will be a part of and contribute to:
Enhanced Interpersonal Skills Training - (2 days)
This training will focus on enhancing interpersonal skills to enable key district staff to facilitate those IEP meetings where the greatest possibility exists for an emotional, contentious or litigious meeting. Participants will have taken the FIEP training and have facilitated a large number of IEP meetings. Training will include 1) a core set of activities with 2) a focus on those areas identified by the district and participants with 3) a major component and theme on dealing effectively with those participants whose personal needs often outweigh the needs of the child. Participants will have a greater and deeper interpersonal skill set to deal more effectively with any individual or group.
