One of the keys to a successful deployment of district-wide software is ensuring each teacher and administrator is fully trained. Spectrum K12’s product training
program is acclaimed by clients because:
Spectrum K12 provides a comprehensive, long-term training program to guide the districts through the first two years of Encore use. Training options include
Train-the-Trainer, End User and supplemental customer training to meet each district’s specific need.
Year 1 - Encore Special Education
The focus of Year 1 is on the Special Education module, including staff training and Special Education management via Encore data. This begins the sustained learning training model.
Most districts prefer the Train-the-Trainer Certification Program; however, if the district prefers, Spectrum K12 can provide end-user training as well. All districts receive:

Year 2 - Encounter Tracker, Intervention, 504, LEP (ELL) and Ensight
Modules
Once the district has integrated the use of Encore Special Education, it’s time to begin managing service delivery via Encounter Tracker. Districts can document when providers provide direct, related and indirect services to special needs students.
The use of Encounter tracker is simple and easy to use; training for trainers and planning can be accomplished in one day; district staff training can be accomplished in a 2-hour hands-on session or via computer-based training.
End-User training materials include the following standard materials:
The Intervention, 504 and LEP modules are delivered with all the basic functionality required, but are highly configurable so each district can customize them to blend easily with current district processes.
District experts from each area will work with a Spectrum K12 Learning Consultant for up to 1 ½ days to learn how the modules work and to configure the product as needed.
Another half day is built into the schedule to train the district trainers on each of these expansion modules. Training materials include the following standard materials:
The 1-day Ensight training is designed to provide instruction and practice time for the top District Administrators who will use this powerful data analysis tool. Training materials include the following standard materials:
The final component of the sustained learning model is consultation with each client to address challenges or gaps in learning that occur during the year. Spectrum K12’s Client Learning Consultants provide a needs analysis and plan to assure Districts get full value from their Encore implementation.
Individualized training sessions can be developed for your District upon request.
