Response to Intervention Training
Module One in this four module RTI series is an introductory workshop that provides participants with the knowledge of the foundational components of a Response to Intervention model. Discussion, recommendations, and data analysis will comprise most of the day. Strategies and practices from successful implementation experience will be shared. Mindset and philosophical changes are addressed along with the necessary applied activities.
Participants will leave with:
- An understanding of the basic principles of RTI
- Knowledge of the history and background of RTI
- Strategies for implementation of RTI
- Knowledge of typical student, school, and district outcomes resulting from successful RTI implementation.
- An understanding of the relationship between RTI and state standards based testing
- Strategies for addressing the change in role and function of various LEA personnel inherent in an RTI model
